A little about me ...

Melinda Cruz Miracle Babies

After having 3 premature babies and realising the lack of services, I partnered with the hospital where my boys were born and a group of other mothers to start a support group that was to become Australia's first national charity for premature and sick babies.

In the 13 years since starting Miracle Babies Foundation, we have raised millions of dollars and designed world leading programs to support and change the experience for thousands of families. I have become known in the global medical community as a neonatal consumer expert, being invited to work alongside them in research, on medical articles and invited to present at conferences around the world, including speaking in front of UN and WHO representatives in Germany and presenting to over 1200 delegates in Chicago.

I've won awards along the way including the EY Social Entrepreneur of the Year and have put it all on the line to make a difference, including running the NY Marathon in 2014 that resulted in our group raising almost $250,000.

My 3 beautiful miracles are now all teenagers and I am currently writing my first solo book focused on my personal journey and learnings of starting and growing the organisation - Stay Tuned!!
